September 2015 I was part of a Corpus Christi mural project held by the Downtown Management District. Local artists were commissioned to paint an electrical box. We all had to submit designs for city approval. We were given paint and a week to complete the art. My design was way to intricate and complicated to complete in such a short time. Fortunately the people downtown were super cool and gracious letting me paint the mural until I was done. It took a little over 5 weeks. It was definitely difficult dealing with the long hours, weather, and insects. When ever I was tired, sunburned, and filled with doubt . I thought of something I read in a book couple years ago.
You can do anything you want to do. What is rare is this actual wanting to do a certain thing: wanting it so much that you are practically blind to all other things, that nothing else will satisfy you....I know I have said a lot when I say 'You can do anything you want to do.' But I mean it....Blunder ahead with your personal view....The real work of art is the result of a magnificent struggle.
